Country Cottage Bake Shop, established 1988, has been baking authentic Slovak Kolach for over twenty years. Our third generation recipe, from old world Czechoslovakia, is made with fresh yeast, requiring it to raise overnight. The following day, it is hand rolled, filled with the appropriate filling, and baked until golden brown! Each Kolach is a "work on art" and no two are exactly alike. It has brought consistent raves of “this tastes just like my grandmother made”, “I haven’t had this in years!”, “I’m so glad I found you”, and “thank you for making my Christmas shopping easy!”
We use only the finest ingredients, and we do not add preservatives to our products. Our Poppyseed Filling is smooth and tasty; our Apricot, Lekvar (prune), and Seedless Red Raspberry fillings are the highest quality; and our Walnut filling is made right here in the bake shop with 100% fine ground California English Walnuts. Each Kolach is approximately 15” long, weighing about 1 ½ lbs., yielding approximately 20, ¾” slices.
Our business hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, but our web store, www.nutroll.com is available for your shopping convenience 24/7, accepting MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Paypal. Orders placed by 5:00 pm Thursday ship the following Monday or Tuesday, mid-September through May. We do not ship during the summer months of June, July, and August. Our Kolach is shipped UPS fresh from the bakery, and because we do not add preservatives, we recommend consuming or freezing upon arrival to preserve freshness. The customer is responsible for the package once it has been delivered.

Our Kolach is shipped United Parcel Service Three Day Select/2nd Day Air within the continental United States. Packages ship on Tuesday, except during Holiday Seasons, then packages ship on Monday. All packages require complete street address as post office boxes are not accepted. We can not guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address.
